This past Sunday, Dragway 42 had a booth at the Northern Ohio Racer's Swap Meet at the Cuyahoga County fairgrounds in Berea, distributing copies of the 2010 track schedule.

During a conversation with an older gentleman at the event, we were asked if the track had any pictures of cars from back in the 60's. We explained that recently the track had been given access to a collection of photos from the late 60's and early 70's (which are part of what you are seeing in this "Looking Back" series of articles on Dragway42.com).

The gentleman went on to tell us how a friend of his had raced a Ford Falcon at the track during that time frame, but the racer's son never got to see the car, nor any pictures of it and how much it would mean to them if a photo could be found.

As good fortune would have it, the gentleman mentioned the car's name... "The Buccaneer", and it rang a bell as something that was in the collection.

It is our pleasure to present to that racer's son and the rest of our website visitors this Algon injected, Chevy powered Ford Falcon from 1968 at Dragway 42.
